THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR ROLE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Comrades,
As Squadron 91 prepares to start another year of service to the community’s youth and veterans, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who supported our many events in 2013/2014 along with a special thank you to Past Commander Rick Adams for his recently completed year of dedicated service. Our Clambake is coming up on August 16,2014 and once again we look for it to be a smashing success. To that end, please plan to attend one of our upcoming Comedy Nights. It is always a fun evening and we encourage you to come on out for a few hours, meet some new folks and lighten your day.
Our Sunday Breakfast with the Ladies Auxiliary are better than ever , and we look forward to seeing you soon at one. They run from September til May on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
During those most important of Holidays, Labor Day, 911 and Veterans Day we of course will be out in the public eye attending festivities and parades to remember those who faithfully served for our freedom.
To our invaluable members of Squadron 91 I’d like to encourage you to attend our Business Meetings as often as you’re able, on the second Wednesday of the month. The more membership participation in the more mundane aspects of Squadron operations decision-making, as well as the higher profile activities, the better and more effective we become as an Organization.
Finally, please always remember to Encourage any prospective Legion/Auxiliary members to take a look at our website – www.squadron91.com, as well as our Facebook Page. Web sites have become almost a necessity in getting the word out regarding an organization and what it does. We’ve worked hard at organizing this and presenting the “fun side” of what we do, and we intend to find additional ways to keep everyone informed of our goings on.
